3XN Architects win contract to build multipurpose arena in Munich

Danish architecture firm 3XN have been tapped to build an as-yet-unnamed stadium in Munich's Olympic Park. Set to occupy the site of the recently demolished Radstadion velodrome – the arena will feature three canopied ice rinks and an oval-shaped green roof that merges with the surrounding park landscape. Rabot Dutilleul tapped to develop aquatic centre with world's deepest dive pool

French construction firm Rabot Dutilleul has been retained by the city of Lille to develop an expansive, eco-friendly natatorium. Designed by German architects Auer Weber, the future facility, set to feature a 42.5-metre diving pool – the deepest in the world – will also comprise three swimming pools, a restaurant, a balneotherapy area, and a wellbeing centre with cryotherapy, sauna, and steam room facilities. Møller & Grønborg and ADEPT win bid to develop Denmark's most visited nature park

Scandinavian architecture firms Møller & Grønborg and ADEPT have been selected to design seven new pavilions at Amager Nature Park near Copenhagen. The wooden structures, set to adorn the 35 sq km reserve's coastline as well as its existing entrance and information centre, are expected to serve as focal points for sightseeing and leisure activities, such as birdwatching, kayaking, and wild swimming. Sasaki reimagine China's first professional soccer arena as wellness hub

Interdisciplinary architecture firm Sasaki Associates have released images of their proposal to change the face of Hongkou stadium in Shanghai, China. The future 50,000-seat sports complex will feature a number of wellness-focused green spaces, recreational amenities, and VIP clubs, plus a "cantilevered restaurant" offering panoramic views of the Shanghai skyline. International architecture firm GroupGSA have been selected to design a sports-friendly city centre in Chongli, China in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
