International hospitality company Hilton Hotels and Resorts has opened the Tangier Al Houara Resort and Spa – a palatial getaway in Tangier, Morocco. Portuguese architectural practice Valdemar Coutinho Arquitecos have created a dramatic new 7,000sq ft (650sq m) sports complex in the Viana do Castelo in northern Portugal, with a focus on greys, sharp edges and angles. Atlantic Wharf in Cardiff has been selected as the preferred site for a new 15,000-seat indoor arena. The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale has unveiled a new spa perched seven floors above the Atlantic Ocean. A Brazilian spa backed by The Body Shop co-founder, AOL's former president and two local entrepreneurs has officially opened in the heart of the country's Atlantic Rainforest. The Botanique Hotel & Spa, said to be the first 100 per cent Brazilian spa, features indigenous treatments, essential oils, therapies and rituals and an all Brazilian staff.
