£8m transformation of Gisborough Hall
Macdonald Hotels has opened its latest country retreat. Built in 1857, the Grade II listed Gisborough Hall in North Yorkshire has been transformed into a 71-room hotel.
Once the family home of Baron Gisborough, the Victorian building has undergone an £8m refurbishment and development programme over the last 18 months.
The hotel now features three four poster rooms, the Tockett's restaurant, and a beauty suite complete with three treatment rooms, a relaxation room and marble topped manicure stations.
The Macdonald Gisborough Hall will also be offering a beauty club, which gives members the chance to receive discounts on treatments and products.
The redevelopment has also created a new conference and banqueting wing, with six individual rooms including the Madoc Suite, which features a Victorian style conservatory leading to the landscape gardens.
