W Hotels launches wellness weekends
W Hotels has announced the next iteration of the brand’s take on fitness and wellness with a new programme, Fuel weekends by W Hotels.
Fitness experts will host workout getaways in W locations combined with healthy cuisine, evening parties and socialising. W has been championing a ‘work hard, play hard’ mantra for years as part of its health and wellness philosophy.
“W always does things differently, and a workout is no exception,” said Anthony Ingham, W Hotels Worldwide global brand leader. “Fuel weekends feature insider access to some of the best trainers in the world, coupled with the playfully luxe experience of W. We know wellness means more than just a good workout, and that’s why classes are offered alongside plenty of opportunities to retox in style, for a trip unlike any other.”
The programme will kick off 25-28 May at W’s Punta de Mita location, with experts in yoga, boxing, surfing and HIIT sessions.
Classes at the inaugural weekend range from strength training with Jason Wimberly, founder of The Wall; to boxing cardio with Ashley Guarrasi; to yoga classes with Tara Stiles of Strala Yoga.
The Fuel weekend also includes a two-hour open bar, DJs, pool parties and more, and guests can add-on extras such as ziplining, mezcal tastings, surf lessons and spa treatments.
Additional Fuel weekends are planned for the W Verbier and W Dubai - The Palm, with more destinations being added.
