Equinox club opens with 270-degree harbour view
Luxury leisure club operator Equinox is offering its members sweeping harbour views while they work out at its latest location in Boston, Massachusetts.
Equinox Seaport, which is the brand’s 90th global club, offers a 270-degree view of Rowes Wharf, surrounding developments and the harbour.
The 35,000sq ft (3,252sq m) club sits on Boston Harbour and has been designed with black granite, exposed steel, black oak and polished wooden floors.
It features group fitness, yoga, pilates and cycling studios, and offers personal training sessions. Initially, 52 classes will be available each week, including The Cut: Jump Rope, a jump-rope class for cardio and conditioning. In total, 90 pieces of cardio and a dedicated 8,000sq ft (743sq m) of strength training space will be on site.
The space also has a members’ lounge, a spa featuring two treatment rooms, a pair of shops and a juice store.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Equinox experience to the Seaport,” said Darren Cappetta, senior regional director of the company. “Since arriving in Boston in 2007, we’ve built an amazing community over the years and look forward to the next chapter.”
Equinox is currently expanding at a rapid rate. The company has recently opened clubs Los Angeles and Miami, and will soon launch branches in Culver City, London and New York's Hudson Yards.
